All those who are interested in Duhovka Elementary & Middle School are invited to open door days!

OPEN DOOR DAYS for the 2025/26 school year are scheduled for:

Thursday, December 4, 2025, 9 am - 4 pm
Tuesday, April 28, 2026, 9 am - 4 pm

Come and see the school, meet the children and teachers, and experience the Czech-English Montessori atmosphere in practice! You can walk around the premises, meet representatives of the school community, and ask any questions you may have.

The children, acting as guides, will take you through the tour and provide insightful comments (in English and Czech) on all the premises and events. Visitors can also ask them anything and get a picture of the school from the children's point of view. At the end of the tour, representatives of the management, the school owners and the Parents' Association are then on hand to add further important information for visitors.

If you would like to see the school “in full swing” and take a look at a Montessori classroom in action, we recommend coming in the morning between 9:00 and 12:00.

Observation during instruction

Starting in November, we invite everyone interested in learning more about Montessori teaching to come directly into the classroom. In the morning, you must arrive at school at 8.20 at the latest. The observation lasts approximately one and a half hours and, depending on your preference (and the number of visitors), it can take place in classes with 1st-3rd grade (the most suitable option for those interested in the 1st grade), with 4th-5th grade or even in Middle School. Afterwards, a joint meeting with a school representative will take place to reflect on the observations and to provide further information to the visitors. You need to register for the observation by email at our office (info@duhovkaskola.cz). Only adults can participate in the observation.

School-night discussion about Duhovka Elementary

We invite all parents of future firstgraders who are interested in Duhovka Elementary School and think of it as a potential school for their children, to a meeting with the management and founders of the school.

The meeting will be held at Duhovka Elementary School (Nad Kajetánkou 9, Prague 6) on Wednesday, January 8, 2026 at 5.00 pm.

This meeting is held every year in the period before admission into first grade. Its purpose is to:

Answer questions about Duhovka ́s concept of education and school operation.

Provide information that would help interested parents discern whether Duhovka is the correct choice for their children’s schooling.

At the meeting a first-grade teacher will be present to answer specific questions pertaining to the day-to-day in a Duhovka elementary classroom in addition to sharing practical information about academies in Montessori.

Individual visits

If you are interested, we are, of course, ready to welcome you at any time of the year for an individual appointment to see the school premises or to meet with someone from the school management to get the information you need.
